DEATH OF INNOCENCE - PROLOGUE

People of the south in 1860 would soon find themselves in the midst of a terrible civil war whose architect, President Abaraham Lincoln., would become known as "TheWidow Maker".

This is a story of fiction, that is based on fact, and the individuals of my family that lived in the south before the gret Civil War. The Patterson family lived on a farm in South Carolina, The Chrisman, and McAlexander families lived in separate parts of Alabama, and thei Greene families lived in Tennessee and Texas. This is a story of their hardships, their loves, and their hates. It is also a story of murder, revenge, and of a great sorrow during one of the most troubled times in this country's history.
