How Measure For Curtains

  1. How to Measure Pleated Panels Width ( Pleated -Top)

    1) Measure the width of your window or the area you would like to cover.

    2) Add 2-4 inches on each side of the window for overlap (if you have molding on your window then add 2-4” beyond the window molding on each side).

    Example:

    • I have a window that is 46 inches

    • I add 2 inches on each side which gives me 50 inches total

    • I need to order 1 Pleated panels at 50 inches each to get the correct fullness.

     

    REMEMBER: pinch pleated drapes are "gathered" , so 50" wide curtain panel will cover 50" of window

  2. How to Measure Pleated Panels Height

    Measure from the bottom of the pole, ring or fixed drapery hook to the floor.

    You can add 2-8 inches for a puddle look

  3. How to Measure Grommet Width

    1) Measure the width of your window or area you would like to cover.

    2) Add 2-4 inches on each side of the window for overlap (if you have molding on your window add 2-4” beyond the window molding on each side). Go farther if you would like the drapes to stack off the window.

    3) Take that number and order 2 panels to get the proper fullness.

    Example:

    1) I have a window that is 46 inches and a 2 inch molding around it.

    2) I add 2 inches on each side from the outside of the molding; this gives me 54 inches total.

    3) I would order 2 panels that are 54 inches each.

     

    REMEMBER:For proper fullness, panels should measure 2-3 times the width of your window

     

  4. How to Measure for Grommet Panels Height

  2. How To Use 4-Prong Drapery Hooks to Create French Pleats?

    1.Leave 2 pockets ( about 3 1/2 inch) at beginning and end of drapery for overlap return.

    2.Put prong into every pocket and it needs 4 inches apart (about 2 pockets)

    3.After you put the prong into the pocket, the result is a clean hook on the back and a triple pinch pleat on the front.

    4. Pleated Drapery 6 hooks for per panel

    How do I purchase your products?

    There are three options to make payment from our website:


    1)To pay using Papal, use the "buy" buttons located next to the product. They will automatically total and add in shipping costs to your order when you are ready to check out. If you prefer an alternative method to pay, then please refer to the section below on mailing or faxing in payments.

    2)   To pay using  credit or debit card

    If you do not have Paypal account, You could pay through PayPal, by credit or debit card . After continuing your payment, by choosing paying by PayPal, you will see that you can pay using your credit card or debit card too.

    3) To pay using  eCheck

    You could pay your invoice through PayPal, by sending us a cash or check, which can be accessed by the top of your invoice page. (there is a button that says pay invoice)

     What is an eCheck?

     An eCheck is a payment that you make directly from your bank account.

     Just like a regular check, it usually takes between 3 and 5 business days for an eCheck to clear and the money to appear in the recipient’s PayPal account.

    2) Shipping Confirmation – this email confirms that your order has shipped and includes the tracking number(s) of your shipment.

    3) Important Information about your Order – you will be sent this email if there was a problem with your order or if your order will be delayed.

    Note:

    • If in stock, all products generally ship within 7-10 business days .
    • If out of stock, ship within 15-30 business days
    • Sometime, due to differences in the product of color, we may need to send a new swatch to have customers' approval, shipping may take longer during the approval process.

    Shipping Methods:

    We offer 2 methods for shipping: Standard (generally 1-7 business days depending on location) and Rush (generally 1-3 business days depending on location)

    Please note: all standard sized products will ship either via USPS or UPS.

    Standard Delivery and Processing Charges

    Order Total:

    Up to $99.00 = $13.99 charge

    $99.00 to $125.00 = $17.00 charge

    $125.01 to $200.00 = $21.00 charge

    $200.01 & over = 10% charge

    $3,000.01 & over = 5% charge

    Extra Shipping Charge: Due to some items being heavy or bulky, these items have a delivery surcharge. If the item is over heave, we will send through the invoice of the extra shipping amount via Pay Pal to you .

    It will be indicated on the Item Page and is in addition to the basic postage and handling charge.

    Shipping Outside Continental U.S.

    We ship to Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada and will be sent via UPS Ground. Oversea will be send via USPS. PLS NOTED: Orders Subject To Additional Time & Shipping Costs

Return Policy

    We accept returns for exchange or refund for any reason . After you received your curtains if you want to return the curtains, please contact us about the return issue to get return number.

    No returns will be accepted without a RETURN number. The return address is Custom Service Curtain City New York 10 Lilac LN Holtsville NY 11742-2554

    • Return Items must be in like new condition and unused condition and in original packaging as received, no smoke damage or pet hair. If items have to be re-folded or pressed because they were mishandled there will be a 15% restocking fee.

    • Returnable Sizes: we can be returned or exchanged can exchange item after All goods to you handing in 30 days and money back guarantee for all "Returnable" sizes.

    • Please note any size that says "Custom Size" or "Custom Made" cannot be returned or exchanged, unless damaged in any way or not correctly made to custom order specification.

    • Shipping charges will not be refunded and the customer pays the return shipping unless there is a material defect.

    • Sample Clearance is final sale and non-returnable.

    •Curtain City New York indicated as " Made To "Custom Size" or "Custom Made " on the website means that we do not carry any size in stock. Made To Order Sizes are custom made upon the order. Customers will have 24 hours from placement of custom orders in which to cancel. After 24 hours, if the order is cancelled, a 50% deposit will be retained by Curtain City New York and will not be refunded. Custom curtains and drapery can only be returned for "Store Credit".

     

    • Custom Made To Measure: Curtains, Draperies & Roman Shades
