The CAF's aircraft sponsorship program is intended as one means to provide capital funds
for the restoration and maintenance of CAF aircraft. Sponsorship is a group of men and women
(all members of the CAF) who have a common interest in sharing in the cost of restoring,
maintaining and operating a particular CAF aircraft.
The highest level of aircraft support is the Aircraft/Pilot Sponsor (formerly called Flying Sponsor), which is full sponsorship on
a chosen aircraft. The Aircraft/Pilot Sponsor is also eligible for selection as a Pilot In Command
or other Flight Crew member (for other than single-seat fighters), if he or she is
qualified. Many non-pilots choose to become full Aircraft Sponsors to express their
support of a favorite aircraft.
All sponsors on the CAF Corsair are Aircraft or Pilot Sponsors.
We are collectively known as the CAF Corsair Sponsor Group.
Click on the picture for an introduction to each member, and our support team.
The CAF Corsair Sponsor Group pays honor to past Aircraft and Pilot Sponsors of the Corsair:
James Berg, Marty Case, Archie Donahue, Walt Estridge, Ray Gentile, Aubrey Hair, Jerry D. Hayes,
Charles 'Chuck' W. Horner, John W. Konrad, Don J. McGinley, Lloyd P. Nolen, Vaughn Olson, Al Price,
Guy Joe Smith, and Paul Thayer.
We also thank those individuals and organizations who donate their products and services.

Larry Lange and his team, in Gainesville, TX., Ezell Aviation in Breckenridge, TX., and the team from the
Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison, TX., also provide invaluable ongoing maintenance support to the Corsair.
Some members of the CAF Dallas/Fort Worth Wing continue to provide us
with assistance on an on-going basis, when the aircraft is at home-base at Lancaster, or away on tour. We are greatly indebted to them.
The Webmaster also offers a special thank you to all the photographers who have kindly contributed their material to the site. |
